Bhagyashree Jawale is currently a research assistant at Department of Women and Gender Studies, Savitribai Phule Pune University, India. She has a Bachelor and Masters in Sociology. She was awarded National Fellowship - BANRF-2014-15 (Babasaheb Ambedkar National Research Fellowship) from Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute, Pune, Maharashtra, India for completing her M.Phil in Women’s studies. She also has experience in the legal sector working as an advocate’s assistant for legislative, administrative and documentation work for over four years. At the Savitribai Phule Pune University, she worked as a counsellor as part of the ‘Internal Committee: Sexual Harassment at Workplace Act,2013’.She has worked as a research assistant at the Department of Women and Gender Studies, where she has done archival work, translation work, documentation and record keeping, field work for data gathering, and cooperation with local government entities. There she also conducted lectures and workshops for undergraduate students. Her broad research areas are gender, caste and sexuality.
