Divya Kannan is an historian of modern India and currently Assistant Professor, Department of History, Shiv Nadar University, Greater Noida, India. She is also the co-founder of the Critical Childhoods and Youth Studies Collective (www.theccysc.com) which began online in April 2020. Her main areas of research, particularly with a focus on South Asia, include Histories of Childhood and Youth, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Empires and Colonial Violence, Histories of Education, Curriculum, and Pedagogy, Public and Oral Histories. Divya completed her MA, M.Phil and PhD from the Centre for Historical Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
