Sayali Shankar is a Researcher at the Department of Women and Gender Studies, Savitribai Phule Pune University. She has done her Masters in Gender, Culture and Development studies from Savitribai Phule Pune University. Her research interests are education and making of the nation, nationalism and popular culture, gender-based violence, gender and law - specifically the debates on age of consent and age of culpability to commit crime. She worked as the assistant coordinator for ‘Indian Association for Women’s Studies’ (IAWS) for the term 2017-2020.
