Sucharita Sharma is Asst. Prof. (Sr.) & Additional Head, Department of English at IIS (deemed to be University), Jaipur. She holds a Ph.D. degree in English with specialization in Trauma and Black Motherhood. She has organized 2 International Conferences, each sponsored by ICSSR & ICHR. She is also an active member of the Research Promotion Committee, Centre for Women’s Studies and serves on the Editorial Committee of CARE- listed Journal of Arts, published by the University. She has supervised many student research projects on areas pertaining to English Literature and other interdisciplinary issues ranging from Trauma Studies and Gender Studies to Indian Mythology. She has also supervised around 40 PG dissertations and 1 Ph.D. is also submitted under her supervision. Her research interests lie in American Literature, African-American Literature, Gender Studies and Trauma Studies. She has also published in various international journals and presented and participated in seminars and international conferences.
